The PORTO ALEGRE CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU makes PORTO ALEGRE and its metropolitan area the ideal destination for your event. A non-for-profit organization, POAC&VB supports and leverages several tourist-related sectors. To achieve its goals, POAC&VB cooperates with these sectors by providing technical support and access to photographic archives, statistics and other specialized data. It also organizes visits and escorts guests to the PORTO ALEGRE metropolitan area. All these services are provided free of charge.

POAC&VB's mission is to provide economical, social, artistic, cultural, scientific and technological development to the State of Rio Grande do Sul, prioritizing Porto Alegre and its metropolitan area, through planned and permanent marketing and PR strategies for attracting, promoting and supporting events, aiming to increase the number of tourists and to enhance the tourist infrastructure and services.
